Liquid Penetrant Testing (LPT) is a a low-cost method of detecting flaws, such a crack, porosity, seams, cold raps, lamination, fracture, and other flaws that are open to the surface. The dye penetrant is drawn into the surface-breaking flaw by capillary action and express penetrant removed; a developer powder is than applied in the surface to draw out the penetrant in the crack and is used on most non-porous material, including aluminum, brass, bronze, cast iron, glass plastic, rubber, stainless steel, and carbon steel.
PT. Greatways Engineering Service has qualified and certified Level II Personnel to perform Dye Penetrant Testing Method.
